Engines Built to Work
A truck without a reliable engine is about as useful as a chair with three legs: it might look ok, but it won't get the job done. Fear not, Medford drivers. The Ram 2500 is powered by your choice of two of the premiere names in engines, with top-of-the-line performance capabilities.
- 6.4-liter HEMI V8: This legendary engine is standard in the Ram 2500. It puts 410 horsepower, the best in its class, with 429 pound-feet of torque. Properly equipped trucks can handle payloads of up to 4,050 pounds, and tow up to 17,580 pounds.
- 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I6: For the ultimate in towing power, this is the choice. The 370 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque translates into a whopping maximum towing capacity of 19,780 pounds in properly-equipped models.
Find the Right Fit with a Variety of Configurations
The most spacious interior comes with the Mega Cab which offers an additional few inches of legroom for rear passengers. It doesn't sound like much at first blush, but your passengers will certainly notice and appreciate the difference when settling into the back row.
If you need more space, simply opt for a Crew Cab, with seating for up to five. Both the front and back rows have more than 50 inches of legroom available, and more than 65 inches of shoulder room. That means everyone can relax and ride comfortably. You can choose from a shorter 76.3-inch bed, or the longer 98.3-inch bed. The bed width remains 66.4 inches.
